We shouldn't need
Cleanable World.
Garbage doesn't appear on our streets by itself.Someone puts it there.
We have garbage bins.We have recycling.We have waste collection.
Yet cups, cans, cigarette butts, wrappers and bags still end up on our roads, sidewalks, parks and parking lots.
But cleanup alone isn't enough.
We need to change the behaviour that puts it there.
The problem is behaviour
The problem
isn't just litter.
It's the decision
to drop it.
Bins already exist. Collection systems already exist. The real challenge is changing the social norm that makes littering feel acceptable in the first place.
Cleanable World is focused on changing that norm.
Our mission

Cleanable World exists to change the social norm around littering. We use advocacy, education, community action, cleanups and partnerships to help build a culture where throwing garbage on the ground simply isn't acceptable.

Why I started Cleanable World
I kept noticing
the same thing.
Coffee cups beside curbs. Fast-food bags in parking lots. Cans along roads.
We can keep cleaning it up.
But someone keeps putting it there.
I started Cleanable World because I think we can change that.
